Autism 4 Parents Social Skills Group
Our Social Skills group is a group of 6-8 children at a time. We restrict the amount so that we may concentrate on each child and the skills that are needed for them to advance into society. Registration is required and Notices will be sent out to families that are interested. Register and we will contact you on the dates & times.
Our goal is to allow our families to socialize with other families that are living with autism. This will allow our families to connect with other families and situations so that they realize that they are connected in many ways. Thus breaking the isolation felt by many.
We will discuss issues pertaining to families and collect the information for future meetings to help them solve the problems that arise in their daily environment.
Monthly meetings will be held at family homes, community facilities or local restaurants. Volunteers will be used to make families feel comfortable, help with programs, spreading the word to connect families with one another, to fundraise and assist in daily office business.
Our values continue to allow us to stay devoted to our families and community.
· A commitment to help parents socialize and not isolate themselves from the community.
· To educate our families with quality information on autism and ASD.
· To be non-judgmental toward our families.
· Value their input and discuss all issues brought to the table.
· To give value and meaning to a child’s life.
· To teach the meaning of giving of yourself (volunteering).
